With nearly 15 years of marketing and public relations experience, Karlene Claridy founded Claridy Communications in 2007. As the owner of Claridy Communications, Karlene works with clients ranging from corporations to nonprofit organizations to develop customized solutions to promote its products and service offerings. She helps clients maximize their exposure through sound marketing and public relations tactics.

Prior to founding Claridy Communications, Karlene was the Public Relations Manager of EPB, a public utility located in Chattanooga, TN. During her tenure, she served as the company’s spokesperson and was responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies in support of EPB. Prior to EPB, Karlene produced successful marketing and public relations campaigns and managed special events for Nissan Motor Corporation (Gardena, CA), Central Texas Council of Governments (Belton, TX), and the Virginia Department of Agriculture (Richmond, VA).

Karlene's passion of serving the community compliments her personal life, as she serves on the board of directors for the Creative Discovery Museum, Public Relations Society of America – Lookout Chapter, Community Research Council, and First Things First, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening families in Hamilton County, Tennessee. She also serves on the advisory boards of the University Tennessee at Chattanooga and Weekend Academy, which is a nonprofit educational enrichment program serving inner-city public school students. She is a graduate of Leadership Chattanooga.

Karlene earned a B.S. in Marketing from Hampton University (Hampton, VA) and an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. A native of Peoria, Illinois, Karlene is married and a proud mother of two children.
